My favourite singer...

Olivia Newton John

My favourite singer is Olivia Newton John. She is a British singer who was born in 1948. She has also worked as an actress, and her most famous movie was the musical "Grease" along with John Travolta. She mainly has sung pop music.

Olivia Newton John started her career in 1971 in an all-girl group called "Soul Four". In 1975, she moved to United States  where she soon became famous with her hit "Phyisical" which remained during 10 weeks in the first place of rankings.

Among her greatest hits are "Physical", "Magic", "You Are the One that I Want", "Grease", "Summer Nights", "Heart Attack", "Let me be there" and "Hopelessly devoted to you."

I love her beacuse she has a one of the most splendid voice I has never listened to. Also, she is beautiful and feminine. I love her style, and in spite of her years (67) she looks extraordinary.

I like listening to her because the lyrics of her songs talk about very common issues about love, and more than once, I felt identified with their message.

I enjoy listening to her in karaokes, when I am with friends, or with my best friend in a car. I really enjoy personfying the content of her songs because they always tell about a broken-hearted girl, which is very funny for me.

I also admire her because of her altruism. For example, in 1979 she participated in Music for UNICEF Concert along with Bee GeesABBADonna SummerRod Stewart, among others.

My favourite song is "Hopelessly Devoted to You" and I always perform in karaokes

My library of the future
My library concept has to do with a place with free access to knowledge. I would like to establish an institution where the availability of information is a right, not a privilege.  In this sense, I would like to offer all the tools I know for accomplish this purpose (open sources software, platforms where people can build, share and edit knowledge in groups, dissemination of information so that they can access to books and resources that are not so popular, etc.) The atmosphere I would like to promote is a place where people are conscious about the importance of knowledge and how can change their lives to learn to search and analyze information.
To achieve that objective, it is necessary that the library is located in a central neighborhood, ideally in downtown so that everybody can get there easily.
The building would have the design of a house. The idea is that the facade makes users feel as if they were at home, with a cozy atmosphere. There would be many rooms with different functions, but at the same time, there should be a physical space where those rooms converge, so that the sharing and meeting is possible. Apart from having a cataloguing and classifying department, there would be many rooms available for meeting and doing workshops.
Regarding technology and equipment, this library would try to be up-to date and, at the same time, democratic, so that the last advanced technology would be completely available for everyone, without exception (3D printers, tablet, etc).
About the collection and material included, this library would have both: material for the commons and resources for specialized users (professors, researchers, experts, etc.) The idea is that the library would not be an only-read environment; however, this does not mean that books and resources that are not so required would be automatically discarded. The library has the responsibility of disseminating information, so it has to be attentive to develop strategies to make known its collection for everyone, not only the experts.

The library hours should be from Monday to Sunday, including holydays from 9:00 am to 19: 45 pm, so that parents with their children can attend.

The best movie ever

Norbit: a great comedy

Norbit is a North American romantic comedy realeased on February the 9th in 2007. It was produced by Eddie Murphy and directed by Brian Robbins. Norbit was abandoned when he was a little child. He was left in an orphanage along with Kate Thomas. They were best friends during their childhood, but they were separated when Kate gets adopted. Norbit was bullied at school. He was saved by an overweight woman called Rasputia (Eddy Murphy) who takes care of him, but in a very strange way because she is continuosly scaring him. She is so annoying and tiresome that she forces him to marry her. She is very ignorant, arrogant, and possessive. She is continuosly trying to control his life. However, Rasputia's domain finishes when Norbit meets Kate when they are adults. Norbit and Kate fall in love with each other. However, Kate is engaged to Deion Huges who is not a good man and deceives her. He and Rasputia's brothers are planning to turn the orphanage into a strip club. Norbit discovers their wild and evil plans and tells Kate about them. He succeeds in stoping them and also he stops Kate and Deion's wedding. Norbit finally declares publicly his love for Kate in the church. In this way, the orphanage is not turned into a night club, and Norbit and Kate keeps together as a couple.

I watched this movie in 2007. I still remember the moment I watched it. It was after a stressful period. I wanted to take a rest after a lot of work (I was doing my thesis as a teacher, so I was under pressure)

I loved this film because it is so funny and weird. Obviously, I recommend it because you will have a lot of fun with it. Also I admire Eddy Murphy and his ability to represent so many characters at a time.

A little bit of my life....

Hello, my name is Andrea Araya Escanilla. I'm 32 years old. I was born in Santiago, Chile on March the 13th in 1983. I have lived almost all my life in Maipú. I have never visited other country. I did my primary courses at Republica de Guatemala School, then in the seventh grade, I changed to Liceo Nº1 Javiera Carrera de Santiago. I have a professional degree. I studied primary teaching at Universidad Católica, but I haven't worked as a teacher. I have to recognize that this aspect of my life was very sad because I realized that I didn't want to be a teacher at the end of my career. Anyway, this period of my life was very beautiful since I met my best friends. After that, I have worked in different places: as a seller, promoter, attending foreigners in a turistic jewelry store, etc. During a lot of time, I wanted to retake primary teaching and work on that, but when I realized that I really didn't want to do it, I decided to study Information Managament. I must to admit that this time I did a deep research about the profession, its labour field, its possibilities of growing, etc., and fourtunately, I'm really happy here. About my personal life, I live with my parents. I have a nephew, Tomás, and I adore him. He is 3 years old. I really enjoy spending time with him and see how he grows. My best friend is Edith Dolhatz. We have been friends during 13 years, and she is one of the most important people in my life. Since the beginning of the year, I consider myself a Christian person, and this fact has changed all the perspective of my life. In relation to my free time, I enjoy reading, dancing, sharing with my friends, going to the cinema (and to the theatre) and singing in karaokes. I considered myself a social, friendly and cheerful person. I enjoy the simple things of life. Those who know me know that is really easy for people make me laugh. For the future, I don't have many plans. In the short time, I would like to finish my career, maybe to especialize in something. Also, I would like to have my own family with sons or daughters, dogs and all of that. That's all about me so far, and I know it's just the beginning of a wonderful life.
